Hey Everyone! Haven't been on the site in a while. Looks pretty cool now-a-days! Mainly I am posting this so I don't have to see that rediculously old journal on my page anymore. I might be getting back on here more. I'd like to start creating art again. It's been so long! If anyone out there still watching me is even interested in where i've been, i'll be happy to share. Post a comment! Until later, Chris

good news first! i graduated from wvu yesterday. (not officially, i have a couple classes to take over the summer then i will get my piece of paper in hand) but still... i graduated. now i have to start calling myself an artist deliberately... since i have a status to back that up... its kind of legit now. thats going to be a change. its always easy to find reasons to say 'oh, im not really an artist yet... im still learning'. but hey, now i am kind of required to be associated with that title. now the bad news. the table that i recently submitted on here... tension table II... has been stolen. the final piece of work i did before completing

----Over the past couple years I have been experimenting with the use of fabric in combination with steel frameworks as an effort to explore the human body and comment on our interactions as individuals in society.  Inspired by the works of Anish Kapoor as well as that of Ernesto Neto, I became interested in working with fabrics.  I saw them as seemingly delicate, flexible, thin, and often associated with femininity and the work of women.  While experimenting with the material I realized that it was capable of taking on an entirely different capacity.  Though thin and flexible, it is surprisingly strong and can resist a lot of stress.  With m

I've returned to dA, should you log in drop me a line ;)
What's up? I don't get on here too regularly anymore but I check it every once in a while just to see what's new. What have you been getting into?
Decided I'm tired of working for others, so I'm opening my own studio. I'll be doing music, video, photography, the regular old shit.
hey there, you're metalworking is awesome. Obviously its been a while for you, but by searching for other peoples self portraits for WVU, I found yours and just wanted to mention that I was working on mine now :). I hope I can manage this. The schoolwide portfolio review coming up that I kinda need to go to is on the Superbowl Sunday and the Steelers are in the superbowl. So I'm not sure how that's gonna work out for me.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you your stuff is awesome and say hello to a past mountaineer.
